The Choir of Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, is one of the UK’s leading collegiate choirs, with a world-wide reputation based on its extensive touring, its exciting programme of concerts and broadcasts, and highly acclaimed CD recordings.

The choir is seeking to appoint a Tenor Lay Clerk. This will be a fixed, one-year contract (not open to undergraduates), beginning in October 2020.

Caius Choir sings the beautiful Geistliches Lied by Brahms accompanied on Caius organ by the new Precentor Matthew Martin, as featured by Classic FM.
The choir works hard to achieve the highest musical standards but maintains a relaxed atmosphere, allowing members to enjoy both the musical and social benefits of choral singing.
The choir consists of 24 singers and 2 organists. Its history stems from the late nineteenth century when the choir was directed by the composer Charles Wood.
To apply for a Choral Scholarship you enter the Cambridge University Choral Awards competition held in March following the admissions process in December/January.
